At 5:57 PM, Franklin Fire District II companies were dispatched to a working structure fire inside the clubhouse at the Bunker Hill Golf Course. Upon arrival 35A reported a working fire and the call was upgraded to a 2nd Alarm assignment. Engines from Montgomery #1, Rocky Hill, Kingston, Middlebush, and Somerset were dispatched along with the area's tanker task force to assist Griggstown, Franklin Park, and Little Rocky Hill units already in service. Within 15 minutes the bulk of the fire had been knocked down and overhaul procedures began. Once all necessary fire suppression activity had ended, the Franklin Township Department of Fire Prevention along with the Somerset County Procecutor's Office Arson Task Force team began a thorough investigation of the incident.
